adesso Schweiz Implements Online Portal „New Job Center“

Zurich, 12 October 2010 – On behalf of Zurich media consulting agency Prospective Media Services the IT service provider adesso implements the „New Job Center“, an independent online portal for publishing job advertisements.

The online platform for job ads, a successful service offered by Prospective Media for more than ten years already, is now being replaced by the „New Job Center.” Prospective Media Services AG assigned adesso Schweiz AG to develop the new portal. The existing platform grew extensively during the last years and is now being replaced by a modern, scalable portal.

The clients of Prospective Media Services enter and manage their job offers on the portal and publish them on their favored channels, which by now comprise more than 200 print and 600 online publishers. The main advantage of the portal: From now on job offers have to be entered only once and can then be published in the various media sources with just a few clicks. Additional features like the template engine for creating advertisement templates, the media search engine and the possibility to map the terms of contract of each publisher provide efficient process management and remarkably increase the customer value. Moreover, the administrative efforts at Prospective Media Services are reduced significantly.

“With the new solution, which adesso offered us at a fixed price rate, we will feature a future-safe portal based on the latest technologies,” underlines Matthias Mäder, CEO at Prospective Media Services AG. “The professional know-how of adesso in portal technologies as well as its systematic approach and the proposed architectures were the decisive factors for us. We hope to achieve a significant increase in our order numbers with the help of the "New Job Center".

The new online platform is being implemented on the basis of Java technology. Google Web Toolkit is used to integrate the user interface. Using this method makes programming faster and more efficient. The order to build the “New Job Center” does also include the development of add-ons and other extension work which is planned to be finished by 2012.
